About me
I grew up in the most beautiful interiors because my mother is an interior designer.
Now that I have a place of my own, I have realised how much of that has stayed with me. I am always looking at interiors, saving ideas and searching for pieces that would work in my own home.
My mother and I can talk about interiors for hours. We love going through interior magazines together, getting lost on Pinterest and spending afternoons wandering around antique markets. We believe that older pieces are often what give a home the most character and make it feel more personal.
You can see some of her amazing projects at MAD Interiors. She is still usually the first person I send a photo to when I am thinking about buying something.
The feeling
For me, it is less about following one particular interior style and more about the feeling of a room. I like homes that feel warm, comfortable and a little lived in. Soft fabrics, good lighting, interesting colours and pieces that look like they have been collected over time rather than bought all at once.
I get a lot of inspiration from places like Soho Home. I love the atmosphere they create, but I do not think you need to spend Soho Home prices to get that same feeling at home.
A lot of it comes down to choosing the right pieces: the shape of a chair, the fabric of a sofa, the right lamp or simply how everything works together. I love mixing new pieces with vintage and antique finds, because that is often what gives a room more character and makes it feel more personal.
Finding those pieces for a more realistic budget is probably the part I enjoy most. And because I spend quite a lot of time doing that anyway, I thought I might as well share what I find.
About Haze Homes
This site is a collection of rooms and interiors I would genuinely want in my own home, broken down into pieces you can actually buy.
I look for furniture, lighting, textiles and smaller details that create the same feeling as the interiors that inspire me, but at different price points and from different brands.
Everything you see is something I would consider for my own home. Prices and availability are shown alongside the products, so you can easily find the pieces yourself.
