What I collect

Nothing that identifies you. There is no login, no comment form and no mailing list, so there is nothing for me to store about you.

Analytics

I use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless: it sets no cookie, uses no persistent identifier, and does not follow you between sites. It records the page visited, the referrer, and coarse device and country information, and it derives a short-lived hash rather than storing an IP address. I see aggregate counts, not individuals.

Because it stores nothing on your device and does not process personal data for tracking, no consent banner is required for it under the GDPR or the UK PECR. That is also why there is not one.

Fonts

The two typefaces on this site are served by Google Fonts. Loading a page therefore makes a request to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, and Google receives your IP address and user agent as part of that request, as it would for any resource loaded from another domain. Google states that Google Fonts sets no cookies and does not use the data for advertising. If you would rather not make that request, a content blocker will stop it and the site will fall back to a system serif and sans-serif.

Hosting

The site is a set of prerendered pages hosted on Vercel. Vercel’s servers keep standard request logs, which include IP addresses, for a limited period, for security and abuse prevention. I do not have access to those logs at the level of an individual visitor.

Outbound links

Product links leave this site for a retailer, via an affiliate network. The network sets its own cookie on the retailer’s side so that a sale can be attributed to me. That happens on their domain, under their privacy policy, not mine, the disclosure page lists the networks I use and links to each of them. Once you have clicked, you are covered by the retailer’s and the network’s policies.

Some of the plain retailer links in my writing are turned into affiliate links by Skimlinks, which does that at the moment you click one. When it does, the retailer’s side of the visit gets an attribution cookie so the sale can be credited to me, the same arrangement as the networks above, and Skimlinks sees which of those links you clicked. Their script loads on every page here. Block it and the links still work, they simply stop earning anything.

Images

Product images are served from the retailer’s own content delivery network, under the terms of their affiliate programme. Loading a page with products on it makes a request to those domains. My own photography is served from this site.

Haze Homes is run by a sole trader registered in Spain, based in Barcelona, Spain. If you want to ask what I hold about you (the answer is almost certainly nothing) or to raise anything else about this page, write to hello@hazehomes.com.

Changes

If I ever add something that does process personal data, this page changes before it goes live, not after.
